Assists Mechanics and Electricians as needed
Assists and participates in the
repair
and preventive maintenance of electric motors, switches, compressors, transformers, valves, water lines, and related equipment.
Installs electric wiring, belts, shives, motors, gear boxes, drives, and fixtures; checks and tests meters, relays, drying, cooling, grinding, crushing and kiln equipment
Examines machines and equipment to diagnose the source of trouble.
Dismantles machines and performs repairs.
Makes necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.
Performs welding and metal working repairs.
Makes minor electrical repairs
Assist outside contractors as needed
Performs machinery and equipment repairs Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
Informs
supervisor
of operational status of equipment and notifies of any problem areas.
Follows ISO operating and safety procedures.
Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
Performs other related duties as required.
High school diploma, technical or trade certification preferred or equivalent experience. Prefer candidate to have tile or ceramics experience
Plant Maintenance experience preferred. 1 year Mechanical Maintenance, or 1 or more years of electrical maintenance experience
Ability to troubleshoot. Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Ability to use and read calipers to make measurements. Ability to use welders, machining equipment, grinders, lathes, drill presses, metal presses and brakes. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
